Affordable Emergency Dentist

In the Kansas City metropolitan area it can be difficult to find affordable emergency dental care. Today the dental profession is dominated and controlled by insurance companies and private equity-backed corporate dental chains. The majority of the dental offices in the KC metro area are owned by wall street private equity firms whose sole responsibility is to provide above average investment returns to their clients who are among the nation’s richest 1%. It’s hard to imagine that this is that state of dentistry today, but unfortunately it is.

Regrettably, all too often I see patients with an unhealthy painful tooth which needs to be extracted and they tell me they went to a dentist who charged them $250 for an X-ray and an exam, then referred them to an oral surgeon. This is sad! Because most of these dentists are now owned by Wall Street, they have to go along with the profit hungry motives of their bosses. To me there is nothing worse than charging someone in pain who trusts you, and doing nothing for them while taking their money.

We are an affordable emergency dentist. We do not play games like many offices and try to get you to schedule an appointment to come in, take a thousand X-rays, then have a treatment plan coordinator “sales agent” attempt to convince you that you need several thousand dollars worth of dental work. Or try to sell you an expensive toothbrush you totally don’t need.

At South KC Emergency Dental, our primary focus is to get you out of pain. We only treat dental emergencies and 75% of what we do is extract painful teeth. We are not here to sell you additional treatment, we are solely here to help you with the problem you contacted us about.

If you need a tooth extracted, and it is a non-surgical extraction, the cost for the extraction is only $175.00 (and that is all). If the tooth cannot be simply removed because it can’t be grabbed, then the extraction is considered surgical and the cost is $225. These prices cover everything. Yes, you can actually come to our office after hours or on the weekend, and these extraction prices will be the total cost of your visit. We only charge the emergency office visit fee of $125 if you elect not to pursue treatment.
